Lauren Sacks graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2006 after completing a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science at York University. She has also completed training in acupuncture and is a Certified Acupuncture Practitioner by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, including the orthopaedic and sports injury divisions.

Lauren’s physiotherapy practice takes a patient-centred approach and utilizes manual therapy, exercise prescription to correct/resolve muscle imbalances that lead to musculoskeletal injury and impairment, as well as acupuncture, taping and other modalities. Her goal with each patient is to educate them on their condition and causative factors involved in order to empower them to take an active role in their rehabilitation process. She is a firm believer that an active treatment plan, along with the use of manual therapy, are the keys to a successful recovery.

Furthermore, she is actively pursuing a wide range of post-graduate education courses to further her knowledge and clinical skills in manual therapy, exercise prescription, postural correction and re-alignment for the treatment of various musculoskeletal impairments. To keep active herself, Lauren currently participates in Muay Thai kickboxing, snowboarding, running and weight training.
